The annual MisinfoDay event brings together high school students, educators and librarians to learn how to navigate complex information environments and make informed decisions about what to believe online. The event features a series of interactive workshops led by experts from the University of Washington (UW) and Washington State University (WSU) and an immersive misinformation-themed escape room game experience– Loki’s Loop.

The workshop content is informed by the MisinfoDay Youth Advisory Board, which is made up of students from a number of high schools in Washington state, to ensure the program is fun, relevant, and engaging for teens.

How to Get the Most Out of MisinfoDay 2024

Frequently Asked Questions

I am a middle school teacher. How can I participate?

We encourage middle school teachers from their school to participate in the “MisinfoDay In Your Classroom” options.

Where can I find out about the new escape room games for this year?

Visit lokisloop.org/games to read about all three escape room games available for this year. You can also preview the online version of the games by clicking “Play Without a Host” and “Start Online Game.” The in-person, printable puzzles match those you see in the online game.

We can start planting seeds, getting [students] thinking about these different tools and then hopefully, they’re going to their classrooms and trying them out with their teachers, talking about them with their friends. — MisinfoDay Program Coordinator
